Today, Kailash Sirohiya, Chair of Kantipur Media Group, was arrested from the Kantipur premises in Thapathali. The arrest was made by a police team led by SSP Sanuram Bhattarai and SP Rabindra Regmi from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office.
The Dhanusha District Court approved his arrest following allegations of dual citizenship. Indrajit Mahato of Sarlahi filed the complaint, accusing Sirohiya of holding multiple citizenships, which violates the Nepal Citizenship Act, 2063.
